  • Certificate In Hotel and Domestic House Keeping (3 months)
  • Certificate In Child Care and Caring for the Elderly(3 months)
  • We also offer short courses e.g. training in baking for one month

1. CERTIFICATE IN TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

COURSE DESCRIPTION

The Tourism and hospitality management Course is a 6 months course designed to equip students with knowledge and skills in tourism and hospitality management. The program exposes students to approaches of supervising and managing hospitality establishments. Students go through all the core areas of hotel operations theoretically and practically and in the final month the management of these areas.  Students are attached to Nyore hillside retreat every month.

To equip the students with specialized training, knowledge and skills in Hotel Management,  and develop professional understanding  of how hospitality and tourism organizations integrate business functions and focuses on specific departmental responsibilities as well as cross-functional management skills

Catering Students

2. CERTIFICATE IN HOTEL AND INSTITUTION CATERING (4 MONTHS)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a 4 months program that provides students with professional skills to operate in several departments hotel like food and beverage, food production, or becoming self employed in catering business. The program is divided into 4 semesters. After the fourth semester students will be placed in partner/institutions to gain practical experience.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The aim of this course of study is to develop a range of knowledge, skills and techniques, personal qualities and attributes essential for successful performance in the hospitality industry. Emphasis is placed on acquiring practical skills. It prepares students to work as waiters/waitresses, bar attendants in conference and banqueting, rooms attendants, kitchen and many others.

Grades

  • Eligible candidates should have completed Primary Leaving Exams(PLE), Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) with at least 4 Passes one of which should be in English language or its equivalent

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must have:
